In 2019, the maximum contribution to all your individual IRAs (both Roth and Traditional) is $6,000 if you are under 50 and $7,000 if you are over 50.

Your total contributions to all your IRAs (both Traditional and Roth) cannot be more than your taxable compensation for the year, if your compensation was less than the dollar limit.

You can contribute to your Traditional IRA up until the age of 70 1/2.
