To invest on Titan, customers must first submit an application to create a brokerage account powered by Apex Clearing Corporation (member of FINRA & SIPC). Check the background of Apex Clearing Corporation on FINRA's BrokerCheck.
During the signup process, Titan is required to collect the following information:
- First and Last Name
- Email Address
- Date of Birth
- Social Security Number
- Home Address
- Phone Number
- Employment Status
As with all of your personal information, this data is transmitted securely using SSL encryption. Your bank login information, passwords, and any tokens are never cached or stored on our servers. After the bank linking process, Titan has no further access to a person’s bank account.
Why do I have to enter my Social Security Number?
All financial institutions are required by the U.S. Patriot Act to obtain, verify, and record information identifying each person who opens an account. Your SSN is also required to issue you a tax reporting form each year.
How old do I have to be to open a brokerage account?
You must be at least 18 years old to open a U.S. brokerage account.
What is the minimum amount required to open an account?
The minimum transfer size for Individual accounts is $100 for deposits and withdrawals. Retirement accounts have a minimum balance of $500, but Individual brokerage accounts do not.
